Supplemental courses are on-campus and hybrid courses that provide additional seats/sections. These are offered at non-traditional times to meet the needs of a non-traditional population. Additional detail from "The Guidelines for Supplemental Courses."
The goal of credit courses offered through Outreach should be to increase the availability of courses to non-traditional students.
Supplemental and short courses provide course work to off-campus audiences as well as traditional degree seeking students during periods whent the University does not schedule regular courses (e.g., August, early January) or at times when regular courses are not frequently offered (e.g., weekends and evenings after 3:30 PM).
Supplemental courses serve the need of targeted off-campus audiences, typically non OSU degree-seeking individuals who are meeting special professional or other requirements.
