Shane O’Mealey

Shane O’Mealey joined the Arts and Sciences Outreach office in April 2012. He oversees all the international (study abroad) and domestic faculty-led travel programs for the college, including the Geology Field Camp held in Canon City, Colorado, which takes over 60 students every summer. Shane graduated with his BA in Psychology and a minor in History from Oklahoma State University in 2003.

Shane joined OSU in 2005, working previously as a Financial Aid Counselor in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. He was invited to speak at a TEACH Grant panel at OASFAA and SWASFAA conferences in Oklahoma City and Albuquerque in 2009.  He served as the Interim Alumni Liaison for the College of Arts and Sciences in 2012-2013.

He is currently a member of the University Professional and Continuing Education Association (UPCEA), and has been an office captain for The United Way campaign. He recently traveled to Ireland, working closely with faculty and staff to coordinate over 45 students and adults on an educational tour. 

Shane is actively involved in the community, where he was President of Town & Gown Community Theatre, serving on the board from 2006-2009, and is a member of the Stillwater Chamber Singers. He taught non-credit Acting Basics courses for the Stillwater community and the surrounding areas, and wrote and directed an original play.
