Summer Arts Camp for 9-12 year olds*

Held in the Multi Arts Facility, 1001 S. Duck Street (next to Stillwater Public Library)

9:00 a.m. to 3:00 PM

Registration $250 each, or $450 for both


Session One:  Due by June 26, 2017 (or both weeks)
Session Two:  Due by July 6, 2017 

Course Information

Students will learn about the arts, culture, history, and cuisine of the world in a hands-on two-week tour that will be both fun and informational.

Students will have daily instruction in visual art and work on their writing skills.Students will gain awareness of and appreciation for global culture.

This camp is for students ages 9-12 (*8 year olds who have completed 3rd grade may attend)

Students must wear closed toe shoes (no flip flops or open toes) and clothes that can get dirty!


Visual Arts: Drawing, Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture, Printmaking, and Fiber Arts
Cooking: Foods of the World
Writing: Poetry, Creative Writing and Dramatic Story-Telling
Music: Songs, Dances, Instruments from other countries including African drums!
Games and Instruction:  Art History, Geography, and the Humanities

Students are welcome to sign up for both weeks; the curriculum for each week will be different.

This is a tentative schedule of topics that will be covered throughout the semester. With each topic several repertoire pieces will be assigned according to the learning pace of individual students and the whole group.

    Friday   Art in Australia*
*On Friday, students present their work from 2:15-3:00 to family and friends


About The Instructor

Liz Dueck has traveled around the world and will be teaching in Costa Rica this fall.

  • BFA in Studio Art

  • K-12th Teaching Certification at Oklahoma State University

Drop or refund policy

In the event you cannot attend the course, a 100% refund is available through 8 a.m. on the Monday of the week prior to the class start date. A 50% refund is available through Friday at 5 p.m. No refund is available on the first day of classes. Email or call for more information on dropping and adding non-credit classes offered through OSU Arts & Sciences Outreach.
